Besan Chilla

A quick, protein-packed breakfast or evening snack that’s light yet filling. Besan chilla is a traditional Indian favorite, easy to make and versatile with veggies or spices.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Besan (gram flour)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (chopped, optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (to make batter)
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Mix besan with turmeric, salt, onion, chili, and coriander.
  2. Add water gradually to make a smooth, flowing batter.
  3. Heat a tawa, grease lightly with oil.
  4. Pour batter, spread like a pancake.
  5. Cook both sides till golden brown. Serve hot with chutney.
